Vehicle History Reports-
These reports are helpful but aren’t the “end all and be all” that
their promoters want you to believe. If there is an indication of a
salvaged title or flooding then they can be extremely helpful. If
there is no indication of past problems this doesn’t mean anything.
Because not all problems are reported to the police or even insurance
companies you can’t assume that a clean CarFax or AutoCheck report
means there are not problems.
That being said,
most cars under 40,000 miles come from the exact same places. Rental
car companies, a few lease returns, and factory sales (which are a
combination of the first two sources but usually have a higher quality
threshhold for inclusion due to contracts by involved parties). Since
the likelihood of major problems in this catagory of vehicle is small
you can usually buy with confidence from any dealer who has access to
the factory sales.
Alliance Car Sales buys a majority of it’s cars at
factory sales. We then have the advantage of using them ourselves for
at least a few months so in the unlikely event that there any surprises
we’ll find them, not you. You could consider it a long term inspection
and certification process.
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
